Long drive-thru lines have greeted the first In-N-Out Burger locations in Colorado since the California burger chain debuted in the state last month.

Fort Collins was among many sites considered to get a location.

However, the original proposed location for what would have been an In-N-Out at 1700 S. College Ave in Fort Collins appears to have fallen through, according to the Reporter-Herald.

The fast-food chain submitted plans to Fort Collins that proposed building a restaurant just south of the intersection of College Avenue and Prospect Road. The conceptual review called for the demolition of the current structure to house the new building and 54 parking spaces.

It appears that the next steps in the development process included a neighborhood meeting, in which a notice for the meeting was never sent out and no formal application was submitted to the City of Fort Collins.

The proposed location at 1700 S College Ave is currently available for lease.

If In-N-Out makes it to the Choice City, it could likely now be in a different spot.
