Fort Collins Celebrity Sighting — Food Network Star Hangs Out in Old Town
Once in a while a day at work is just a little bit more. Thursday we got news that Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-in's and Dives was in Old Town Fort Collins. It's definitely a different kind of workday when you get to see a Food Network star hanging out.
Guy Fieri, the first to win the Food Network's "Next Food Network Star" show was in Old Town Fort Collins Thursday afternoon.
Gotta love social media -- we got wind of his Old Town appearance from Feasting Fort Collins, thank you!
We sent a crew to Restaurant 415 on Mason in Old Town Fort Collins where we found the business to be closed because of the taping of "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". Seth, an employee with the restaurant was passing out $2 bills for the diners not able to enjoy their menu items. We did, however, get a tip that Chef Fieri might be at The Lodge.
Our crew headed without delay to The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen on College Avenue in Old Town and were incredibly delighted to see that famous red Camaro sitting right there in front of The Lodge. Accompanying Fieri was another famous chef, Aaron May, as well as professional football player, Jared Allen, who both have ownership in the restaurant.
For a foodie like D Dennison, this is one of those days that won't soon be forgotten. She has spent way too many late nights binge-watching "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". It was a very cool, won't forget any time soon moment. Due to some 'contract' rules she didn't get to meet him or interview him, but she did get a shot with the Camaro!
K99 staffer Kelsey Nistel is excited to catch the episode featuring the local restaurants, which according to the show's producer, is set to air on the Food Network in a few months. Wonder which dish he liked best?
