People in Northern Colorado have been clamoring for a Costco Wholesale Club for years. There's been rumors dating back to the mid-nineties of where and when Fort Collins residents would get a Costco that is less than a 45-minute drive away.
Well, a Costco is in the works to be built in Timnath, Colorado, and should be open on October 1st, 2014.

As of right now, a Northern Colorado store is still not listed on the official 'New Locations' page of the Costco website. However, the Coloradoan is reporting that Costco plans to have its Timnath location open on October 1st, 2014.

We first learned about this back in September of 2013 when SE Fort Collins was tweeting out info from a Timnath planning meeting with details about the store. Based on that info we should expect this location to be built adjacent to the Swetsville Zoo, southeast of Harmony and I-25 that includes the food store, tire center, liquor store and gas station with six more pads for development. (There are sketch plans are posted on the Town of Timnath website.)
