Another scam has come to the surface in Colorado. You need to look out for this one. You especially need to look out for this scam if you make long commutes. A new scam is targeting drivers that use the Express Lane.

The Colorado Department of Transportation shared an urgent message across social media this week.

Their goal is to make residents aware of a new scam. Residents have reported text messages that ask for payment for unpaid Colorado Express Lane and ExpressToll fees.

The text message asks their victims to click on a link to submit a payment.

The scammers then will collect your financial information and use it against you. The Colorado Department of Transportation says they will never send toll payment requests from a text message. You can pay your tolls through your ExpressToll account or via mail.
