A careless driving ticket was issued after a Tuesday morning crash at the intersection of Shields and Plum Streets in Fort Collins.

According to a Fort Collins Police Services press release, Hannah Shikh-Salim, 30, was issued the summons after allegedly broadsiding the driver side of a City of Fort Collins Transfort bus and then colliding with a 2005 GMC box truck.

Shikh-Salim was driving a 2012 Toyota sedan and allegedly crossed into the intersection despite having a red light. According to the release, she suffered moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The drivers of GMC box truck, and the bus driver and passengers reported no injuries.

Police do not believe alcohol or speed contributed to the crash. The incident occurred around 7 a.m.

A portion of Plum Street remained closed for about four hours as investigators processed the scene.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. A charge or summons is merely an accusation by law enforcement.
