Despite What You May Have Read on Twitter Queen Elizabeth is Not Dead
Be careful what you tweet! A reporter for CNN made a huge error yesterday. She tweeted that Queen Elizabeth had died. When, in fact, she had not. The Queen is alive and well.
According to an article from NBC News:
A reporter for the BBC, Ahmen Khawaja, mistakenly posted on Twitter that the 89-year-old had been taken to hospital. A second tweet announced: "Queen Elizabeth has died." Khawaja quickly corrected her error. According to the article, the Queen was in the hospital, but it was a "routine pre-scheduled appointment".
The report was picked up by several media outlets including CNN Newsource and German newspaper "Bild" before the tweet was "swiftly" removed.
