I love the city of Denver. I grew up in the metro area, and the Mile High City holds a special place in my heart. It always will. However, these days I have a really hard time enjoying it, mainly because of all the traffic and the crazy drivers who seem to be on the road when I am driving.

That is all part of being in a large city like Denver, I suppose. If you've been on social media, even for a small amount of time, you know that Denver is a very polarizing city. People either seem to hate it or love it; there is no in between.

Ranking Cities Depends on Perspective

When it comes to cities and how they are ranked, it really depends on the person. Some people love chaos and loud noise, while others like it to be friendly and welcoming.

Las Vegas has long had the nickname of Sin City, but a lot of other cities are sinful, too. Denver has even ranked pretty high on the list as being one of the most sinful cities in the nation.

Wallet Hub ranks Denver as the sixth most sinful city, surpassing Miami, New Orleans, Chicago, and New York City. Wallet Hub ranks the most sinful cities based on five factors:

  • Anger and hatred
  • Jealousy
  • Excesses and vices
  • Greed
  • Lust

Denver Scored High in Anger and Lust

Denver ranked ninth on two of these factors in the Anger/hatred and Lust rankings. Las Vegas still holds the top spot as the most sinful city in the United States. Obviously, Las Vegas took home the number one rank when it came to greed. Lust in Las Vegas ranked as third.
