According to reports, Colorado Rockies all star shortstop Jose Reyes was arrested over Halloween weekend for allegedly assaulting his wife.

The alleged assault happened while the couple was in Hawaii for the holiday.

According to Hawaii News Now, Reyes is currently out on bail.

Reyes was acquired by the Rockies during last season from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Colorado superstar Troy Tulowitzki. The team continues to rebuild and Reyes may not have been part of the long term plans for 2016, and he may be fine with that.

In an article released during the season in Deadspin, Reyes showed he wasn't happy to be traded to Colorado and moving to a last place team from a team that ultimately finished in first of the AL East.

However, it may be even harder for the Rockies to find a taker of their disgruntled shortstop after this latest incident.

We'll keep you posted on further details as more comes to light.
