I need to vent for a moment. I just returned from the ACM Awards where I tried to watch the show from the crowd but could see nothing but the screens of everyone's cell phones in my section. It is very disturbing how addicted to our phones we are. We can't even use our own memories anymore and feel we need to document every thing we do.

I find it ridiculous to spend huge money on a seat for a concert or sporting event and only watch it through a four inch screen. The world is much bigger than the screen of your phone and you will see and enjoy much more if you open your eyes to the big real world instead of your little phone. I see a whole crowd stand up and hold their phones in the air to film every moment so they can go watch it at home. Stay home and watch it and quit going if you just want to see it on film. You missed the real show by trying to film it and show everyone you were there. One little photo of you in your seat is all the proof people need. How many videos from peoples phones actually are worth a crap on YouTube anyway?

You pay a lot of money to go see a show so why not actually SEE a show, watch it, listen to it and store some memories in your head instead of blocking the view of all around you just so you can get that blurry distant video of the show that only you will care to see. You could have had a much bigger and better picture in your brain. Live life and quit worrying about reporting it.
