Colorado has a diverse and abundant wildlife population with hundreds of native species living in the state, but kangaroos are not one of them. To see these fascinating marsupials, Coloradans either have to go to the zoo or travel abroad. However, a new place in the Centennial State now allows animal lovers to get up close and personal with adorable kangaroos.

Established in 2023, Kangaroo Ranch specializes in unique, hands-on animal encounters. The company recently opened a studio space in Wheat Ridge, which offers variety of different opportunities for interactions and personalized events.

The kangaroos residing at this ranch come exclusively from licensed zoological facilities and reputable breeders within the United States. Kangaroo Ranch is fully licensed at the federal, state, and local levels to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance for the animals living on-site.

With the help of kangaroo joeys (or baby kangaroos) the staff at Kangaroo Ranch focuses on conservation, fun, and education.

There are currently three experience options available at the Wheatridge studio: Kangaroo yoga, Bottle Feeding, and Meet and Greets.

These one-of-a-kind yoga kangaroo yoga classes involve stretching, flowing, and relaxing alongside friendly kangaroos. Classes are typically to 30-45 minutes long and are led by a certified instructor. The yoga session is followed by an interactive portion where participants can feed, learn about, and take photos with the roos. Ages 10 and up are welcome to participate in yoga classes.

During bottle feeding encounter, participants get an intimate experience that lets includes hand-feeding the cute kangaroo their favorite milk, while also learning about the care and development of these interesting animals.

The meet and greets are a 45 minute session during which, guests get to hand-feed treats, snap adorable photos, and learn fun facts from the Roo Crew about the resident kangaroos. Meet and greets are $65 per person.

Kangaroo Ranch also offers private and customizable interactions for birthdays, corporate events, and other special occasions.
