Ways I Use My Crockpot That Have Nothing To Do With Food

Summertime in my house means we have over a million things on our schedule. There are so many things. From sports to parties to work commitments, sometimes at the end of our busy day, cooking dinner just isn't a priority. So I bust out the crockpot.

But I don't only use it for cooking. There are so many ways I use my crockpot that you may never have heard of, so let me share some time-saving crockpot tips and tricks.

Here are some of the craziest ways I use my crockpot

I can't claim this first idea as my own because I saw my mom doing it and was totally blown away. Since all of my siblings have moved away from my parents' house, they just have a tiny crockpot.

They have a crockpot for food (obviously), and they also use a crockpot for scented waxes. The heat from the crockpot melts the wax, filling the entire house with amazing smells. This is what happens when your parents retire and scroll Pinterest 8 hours a day.

Why not use your crockpot for breakfast? You don't need to make a huge helping of what you're serving because crockpots come in multiple sizes. Use a small crockpot to heat up cinnamon rolls and keep them fresh throughout the day by setting it to warm. Who wouldn't want to pick at sweet rolls all day?

Even in the middle of summer, I'm cold. I'm always cold. So sometimes on the weekend, I'll put some apple cider and caramel-flavored vodka into the crockpot for a warm mug of joy all day. Just ladle a few scoops into your mug, and suddenly that soccer tournament you have to be at doesn't seem so bad. Side Note: I only do this when my husband drives. Don't judge me.

Want to have a spa night? You can use your trusty crockpot to warm facial towels. Just add a little water and leave a few small towels inside for ultimate pampering. You can even add some orange slices to create a delicious scent.
