Located in the heart of Old Town Square, Coopersmith's Poolside location has become a popular local hangout over the years, featuring three different patios, inside seating, and various games such as pool (hence the name, Poolside) shuffleboard, ping pong, and more.

"If there is one thing we've learned over the years, it is that change is inevitable," Dwight Hall, CooperSmith's president and co-owner, said in a press release announcing Poolside's impending closure, according to the Coloradoan.

"It has been a fun, wild adventure and we are immensely grateful for the last 30 years in both locations. Although it is sad to say goodbye to Poolside, it is also an exciting new time as we turn our full attention to making Pubside as great as it can be."

The Fate Of CooperSmith's Pubside Location

Aside from the Old Town pub & brewery's Poolside location is CooperSmith's Pubside location, conveniently situated just steps away from Poolside, which is set to close at the end of the month.

Coopersmith's Pubside location - which features a more traditional pub-style vibe, along with two robust patios, tons of inside seating and an entirely different menu from its sister location is said to remain open, the Coloradoan reported on Sept. 2.

"Change can be difficult, but it is also an opportunity to improve," Hall said in the press release. "We are committed to being the best brewpub in Northern Colorado for years to come."

About CooperSmith's

According to the Coloradan, Scott Smith, current Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper and 28 other investors founded CooperSmith's back in 1989.

CooperSmith's, named after Scott Smith's son, Cooper marked Fort Collins’ first brewpub.
