There are some criminals that are masterminds and there are a lot of criminals that are just plain dumb. One Colorado man went to the Jefferson County courthouse for a probation meeting and ended up in handcuffs.

The man apparently did not learn his lesson after three stolen car convictions and drove a stolen car to a meeting with his probation officer. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, surveillance cameras caught the man walking into the courthouse to meet with a probation officer regarding his recent guilty plea of motor vehicle theft.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies greeted the man as he came out of the elevator and admitted that he borrowed a car from a friend. If that is true, the man's friend lent him a stolen car to get to his meeting with a probation officer.
