Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone in Northern Colorado

This year, I really wanted to try and step out of my comfort zone. I made a conscious decision that I would explore new hobbies, media, and even foods.

I started small, but I recently worked my way up to hiking; and I LOVE it! Being able to explore Colorado while also getting some exercise in? Sounds perfect!

One of my only drawbacks about hiking is just how often you have to worry about mosquitoes and ticks.

If you want to avoid mosquitoes but still love hiking, maybe avoid wearing these colors.

One of the most common of the mosquito species reportedly flies towards the following colors:

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Black
  • Cyan

If you are like me and aren't too sure what exactly cyan is, it's aquamarine or a sort of blue green.
