Colorado Is One of the Most Educated States in America
For many, education is the key to a brighter future.
One of the things I'm most proud of in my life has to be my degree. It's more than just a piece of paper that says I have a certain set of skills. I'm proud to be using those skills in my job every day, that's for sure. However, when I look at that diploma, I see myself moving across the country all by myself to campus, I see all of the hard work I put in to pass those classes, I see myself walking across that stage, and I see a flood of memories that were made while I was in school. I met some of my closest friends in college and even my husband. I'm very thankful for the opportunity I had to go to college.
Recently WalletHub crafted a list of the Most & Least Educated States in America. Education can open doors and create opportunities for those who chase it. For this list WalletHub looked at key factors like the levels of education that have been attained, the quality of the schools and even achievement gaps between genders and races.
Colorado came in smelling like a rose with a number five finish.
More specifically, we have the second highest educational attainment in the nation. However, WalletHub put us at number 35 when it comes to the quality of education you can get in our state. This kept us from ranking higher than number five.
As for those states who beat us, Massachusetts took the top spot with Maryland, Connecticut and Vermont at numbers two, three and four, respectively.
