The Colorado Eagles have spent a disproportionate amount of time on the road to start the 2021 season.

Of the first 17 games, 12 have been road games.

Now the Colorado Avalanche's AHL affiliate will get an extended home stay at the Budweiser Events Center.

The Colorado Eagles will open April with a six-game homestand. While there won't be any fans allowed in the arena, the team should benefit from an extended stay on home ice.

First up is a two-game series against the Bakersfield Condors starting Friday (April 2). Then the Texas Stars come to town for a four-game series.

The Colorado Eagles won't hit the road again until April 22. The Eagles are 7-8-2 so far this season, with 16 points. The Henderson Silver Knights currently lead the AHL Pacific Division with 30 points and a 15-3-0 record.

Colorado Eagles To Host Fight Cancer Night

While the Colorado Eagles hasn't been approved to host fans yet, the team is once again hosting its Fight Cancer Night that's presented by UCHealth.

During the April 10 game, 18 cancer warriors will be honored with special helmet decals and special lavender-colored jerseys. The Budweiser Events Center will be lit up in lavender lights — you'll be to see it shining from I-25.

Merchandise like replica jerseys, pucks and t-shirts will be available for purchase and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation Oncology Patient Assistance Fund.
