If you've ever wondered what the most expensive zip code in Colorado is, a recent survey from Property Shark was able to figure it out.

The ranking determined the 100 most expensive zip codes in America, so where does Colorado fall?

Top Ten Most Expensive Zip Codes in the United States

Here are the top ten most expensive zip codes in the United States, based off of the median sale price for homes:

  1. 33109 ~ Miami Beach, FL ($9.50 million)
  2. 94027 ~ Atherton, CA  ($8.33 million)
  3. 11962 ~ Sagaponack, NY ($5.93 million)
  4. 92661 ~ Newport Beach, CA ($5.72 million)
  5. 11976 ~ Water Mill, NY ($5.50 million)
  6. 93108 ~ Santa Barbara, CA ($5.24 million)
  7. 94970 ~ Stinson Beach, CA ($5.23 million)
  8. 92657 ~ Newport Beach, CA ($5.19 million)
  9. 92662 ~ Newport Beach, CA ($5.10 million) and 94022 ~ Los Altos, CA ($5.10 million)
  10. 92067 ~ Rancho Santa Fe, CA ($4.99 million)

We can see that the overall pattern here is that coastal states like California, Florida, and New York are incredibly expensive to live in. However, California took the most spots in the top ten.

But where does Colorado fall on this list?

Colorado Is Expensive, But Not the Most Expensive

Good news, we obviously aren't the state with a bunch of towns on this list, that is reserved for California.

However, there are still zip codes from the Centennial State that make appearances in this ranking.

Aspen: Colorado’s Most Expensive Zip Code

Unsurprisingly, the most expensive zip code in Colorado and the 41st in the entire country is Aspen (81611). The median sale price for a home in this area is $2.8 million, according to the Property Shark data.

Only one other Colorado zip cracked the top one hundred. Located less than 20 minutes away from Aspen, is Snowmass Village (81654), with a median sales price of $2.45 million.
