Colorado Stores Carry One of America’s Worst Peanut Butter Brands
What was your favorite snack to have after school?
The best feeling in the world as a kid, would be opening up your lunchbox at lunchtime and seeing your mom's peanut butter and jelly sandwich that she made just for you.
For me, it needed to be on white bread, have grape jelly smeared all across the inside, and smooth Jif peanut butter coating the other side of the sandwich.
Now, I'm getting kind of hungry...
Coloradans Love PB&J—But What’s Really in Your Peanut Butter?

But as adults, we know a little more about what goes into our food, and not all peanut butter brands are as wholesome as we might hope.
There are some brands that are full of unhealthy ingredients. A publisher called 24/7 Wall Street put together a list of the worst peanut butter brands (according to them).
Several of these brands are actually popular here in Colorado.
How the “Worst” Peanut Butter Brands Were Chosen
According to 24/7 Wall Street, there are several factors that go into determining the "worst peanut butter brands" that are sold in the United States.
The key things that they took into account that are put into these peanut butter brands include; "unnecessary ingredients, unhealthful ingredients, or ethically dubious ingredients."
Top Five "Worst" Peanut Butter Brands in the United States According to 24/7 Wall Street
1. Smucker's Goober Grape
2. Reeses
3. Great Value Peanut Butter
4. Peter Pan Creamy Honey Roasted Peanut Butter
5. Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter
You've definitely seen the Smucker's Goober Grape before. It has the peanut butter and jelly in one little container.
The Goober Grape peanut butter is not something we see too much here in the Centennial State. This brand is typically sold in Walgreens, Walmarts, or Targets around our neck of the woods.
