If you have a kid who has wanted to be a lifeguard and earn some good Summer money, the City of Loveland starts classes this week.

Classes begin this week in Loveland for those who have an interest in becoming a lifeguard. Training includes all things essential to pool safety and of course teaching those involved on CPR and how to save a life.

Class dates are Wednesday April 8, Thursday April 9, Friday April 10 and Saturday April 11. The cost is $175 and that includes a lifeguard training manual and CPR mask.

Anyone interested, must first pass a pre-course test this Tuesday, April 7, which includes a 300-yard continuous swim, treading water for 2 minutes (legs only), a timed 20-yard and a 10 pound brick retrieval.  For more information on the classes and pre-course, just click here.

Applications are currently being accepted for lifeguards at the Chilson and Winona Pools and Lake Loveland. The city is also looking for swim instructors and a C.A.R.A. swim coach. To apply for any of the Summer jobs just click here.
