In the past, Denver Comic Con has brought big names to town. This year, however, is arguably one of its best years yet - with Carrie Fisher and Stan Lee as part of the lineup.

"I'm personally really excited about [Carrie Fisher]," Christina Angel, director of Denver Comic Con, told Denver Westword. "The original Star Wars was the first movie I saw in a theater and I really loved her. It was exciting seeing [The Force Awakens] and hearing people cheer just as loud to see her appear as they did for Harrison Ford or Chewbacca or anyone else."

Fisher and Lee are just 2 names on a massive lineup for the con, which promises something for everyone - including comic book artists Steve Leialoha and Trina Robbins.

"There's a lot of crossover, and our goal is to have a little bit of something for everyone, no matter the age or interest," Angel said. "We have a wide variety of people from voice actors to huge movie franchises to smaller, popular niche shows. We try to hit as many fan bases as we can, in all the areas."

The majority of guests, including the big headliners, will make themselves available to fan interactions throughout the weekend of June 17-19 - participating in one if not a couple panels, photo and autograph opportunities, and possibly some extra "surprise things."

Angel adds the con is far from finished with making additional, big guest announcements.

"No, not even close," said Angel. "I have a couple potential announcements coming next week depending on when I get contracts back, but I have a lot of exciting stuff still in the hopper."

Denver Comic Con happens June 17-19 at the Colorado Convention Center, with tickets ranging from $38.50 to $176. The full lineup can be seen HERE.
