Another week and six (6) more soldiers who has paid the ultimate price since last Monday’s post. These warriors have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Please remember, “Freedom” isn't free at all; someone has to pay for it. Please make it a point this week to go out of your way and thank a soldier. It’s a good habit to get into!

Capt. Aaron R. Blanchard - Age 32 from Selah WA. Killed In Action on April 23, in Pul-E-Alam, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from enemy indirect fire. Capt. Aaron R. Blanchard was assigned to the 2nd Aviation Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y. Also killed was 1st Lt. Robert J. Hess.

1st Lt. Robert J. Hess - Age 26 from Fairfax VA. Killed In Action on April 23, in Pul-E-Alam, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from enemy indirect fire. 1st Lt. Robert J. Hess was assigned to the 2nd Aviation Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y. Also killed was Capt. Aaron R. Blanchard.

Capt. Brandon L. Cyr - Age 28 from Woodbridge, VA. Died April 27, near Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, in the crash of an MC-12 aircraft. The cause of the crash is under investigation, however initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the crash. Capt. Brandon L. Cyr was assigned to the 906th Air Refueling Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Also killed were Capt. Reid K. Nishizuka, Staff Sgt. Richard A. Dickson and Staff Sgt. Daniel N. Fannin.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, however initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the crash. Capt. Reid K. Nishizuka was assigned to the 427th Reconnaissance Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, CA. Also killed were Capt. Brandon L. Cyr, Staff Sgt. Richard A. Dickson and Staff Sgt. Daniel N. Fannin.

Dickson was assigned to the 306th Intelligence Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, CA. Also killed were Capt. Brandon L. Cyr, Capt. Reid K. Nishizuka and Staff Sgt. Daniel N. Fannin.

Fannin was assigned to the 552nd Operations Support Squadron, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla Also killed were Capt. Brandon L. Cyr, Staff Sgt. Richard A. Dickson and Capt. Reid K. Nishizuka.
