For the first time in their history, the Girl Scouts have gone digital. Starting Dec. 12, you can buy your Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs online. Girl Scouts will be able to sell their cookies through personalized cookie websites and a mobile app.

One hundred percent of the money earned from cookie sales will stay local, but those purchases can now be made from home using a credit card. It won't be available everywhere, but the good news it will be available through Girl Scouts in Colorado.

Some girls will market their online cookie business by inviting customers to visit their personalized cookie websites through a link sent through e-mail. Other girls will take in-person orders using a unique mobile app designed specifically for Girl Scouts.
