Make plans for the 4th National Armed Forces FreedomRide (click on their link to find a ride in your state) on Saturday May 18th to observe Armed Forces Day and to acknowledge the importance of remembering those who sacrificed their Freedom.

Armed Forces Day is a day to honor every segment of the United States Military. Armed Forces Day is a day to fly a flag and to share as a family fond feelings for the powerful force that seeks to preserve peace in the world.

The event starts at the Platte River Bar & Grill in Littleton (5995 S Santa Fe Dr., Littleton, CO 80120) at 7:30 AM and ends at 10:15 AM.  Registration cost is $25.00 per person and $5.00 for a passenger.  Please keep in mind that this is not soley a motorcycle event and ALL vehicles are encouraged to attend this patriotic event.

Breakfast burritos will be available during registration before the ride heads up to Deer Creek via the scenic route and then circles back down Highway 285 to Fort Logan National Cemetery. Time will allow anyone who wants to honor those you know that have served before heading back to the Platte River Bar & Grill  for raffle items, lots of fun and maybe even a few tears.

For those of you in attendance a personal request from me:  Please pack my Dad in your day somewhere and raise a glass for me in his honor.  Annapolis - Class of 1946.

There is also a need for more volunteer help, especially 'Road Captains', so if you can help please email glorianaffr@comcast.net or call 303-250-1337.

All proceeds to benefit American Military Family  and VFW Post 3631
