Two Reasons Why You Should Never Bet Money on the Denver Broncos
The NFL season is well underway and the Denver Broncos have certainly had an interesting season. Despite how you are feeling about this season, one thing is abundantly clear: you should never bet money on the Denver Broncos.
Sports Gambling and Colorado
Sports betting became legal in Colorado in 2020, and sports fans quickly embraced it, downloading and trying out betting apps that had been heavily promoted on TV and social media.
Now, we love our Broncos, but placing any money on them is usually a risky gamble.
Those parlay bets can seem incredibly tempting from time to time, especially with the potential for a big payout. However, it's wise to resist the urge and avoid betting on the Broncos. Here are two important reasons why you should think twice before betting.
Reason #1: Never Bet on Colorado Teams
I do not bet on sports often, but a rule of thumb that I have is to never bet on the Denver Broncos or any of my other favorite teams. Betting on your favorite team is referred to as an emotional hedge bet. If you participate in sports gambling you are more likely to make more irrational decisions because you love the team you are betting on.
Secondly, betting on your favorite sports team takes the fun out of watching and rooting for your team. I suggest that you bet on teams you care less about so you are not emotionally betting and making irrational decisions.
Reason #2: Broncos Amongst Worst Teams to Bet On
The Denver Broncos happen to be one of the most predictable teams in the NFL, according to research from Gamdom. Gamdom looks at each team's potential payoff compared to how much each bet would be.
They found that the Denver Broncos are the 13th worst football team to bet for. Basically it means that betting on the Denver Broncos doesn't typically come with a high reward. The total profit of betting on the Denver Broncos the past two seasons is -$251.43.
According to the research, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the best team to bet financially on. However, our wounds are still fresh from the Russell Wilson situation.
