During the week, every Monday-Friday at least four times a day, I stop what I'm doing, whether it be cleaning toilets or going to a work meeting, and I can't help but drift off and think about where I would rather be.

I'm grateful for my job, my home, and my family. Even the most mundane activities are a blessing. But here are the places I would rather be than where I am now. Does that make sense?

The Gaylord of the Rockies

First, I need to preface this by saying 99.9% of the time, I would rather be home. It honestly doesn't matter what you offer me; a night snuggled in bed watching a murder documentary will always be my number one. But if I must pack up and leave, The Gaylord of the Rockies is my favorite place.

The setting is beautiful with multiple bars and resturaunts and Murphy loves the pool and lazy river. Also, she's at the age where we can let her and a friend swim while we sit in the sun and read a book. What more could you want?

Centerra

Located in Loveland, the Centerra shopping area is perfect this time of year. I would love to go shopping in one of their many retail stores, or maybe sit at a patio at one of their resturaunts. There's also a gelato joint named Pacuigo. Sold.

Also, with the weather being so perfect, the outdoor layout is a great way to get some fresh air.

Old Town Fort Collins

Maybe it's because I grew up going to Old Town in Fort Collins, but between the shops, food, drinks, and outdoor fun, it's a no-brainer; I would always rather be there than here. No matter where here might be.

My House

Sleeping. That's it.

Coloradans First Red Rocks Show

There’s nothing quite like your first time at Red Rocks. After finally seeing a show there myself, I had to ask other Coloradans: what was the concert that started it all for you?
