Ball Arena Now Offers Outdoor Viewing Experience for Avs and Nuggets During Playoffs
- The new set-up is called The Fan Zone and will feature a live broadcast of the games (obviously), as well as DJs spinning jams and team mascot visits.
- Ball Arena has plans to close Chopper Circle between 9th and 11th streets during Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets home playoff games.
- The zones also have catchy names. Viewing parties for the Denver Nuggets will be called Basecamp 5280, while playoff games for the Colorado Avalanche will be called Avs Alley.
- For the first two rounds of the playoffs, tickets to get into the viewing zone will be free while space allows. Yay! Game tickets aren't necessary, but you do need a digital pass for entry.
Game 1 of the series will be the Denver Nuggets vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday afternoon. Base Camp 5280 will open at 11:30 a.m. ahead of the 1:30 p.m. start, and Base Camp 5280 passes will be available starting Wednesday. Be sure to go to the Ball Arena website to get a pass before they sell out. People love free!
Stanley Cup Playoffs dates and times will be announced later this week. Again, grab those passes before they're gone!
I love this idea because it’s a chance to experience the magic of a professional game with zero of the sticker shock of tickets.
