I Love Northern Colorado, But These Places Stress Me Out
Maybe it's an age thing, or maybe it's a mental thing. More and more, I can't deal with chaotic places. Loud, tight, lots of people, no air, slowly dying. You know what I'm talking about.
So, as a native of Northern Colorado, I know the safe places and the places you need to avoid at all costs to protect your peace.
Let's look at what I call the "Red Flag" areas.
Costco
The Costco in Timnath will make your hair fall out. Go on a Saturday? Do you have a death wish? People forget to walk when shopping in Costco. If you don't bang into another cart or have a cart bang into you, you didn't do Costco right.
GoodWill
When I was growing up, if you were seen at Goodwill, people would totally make fun of you. I can say this because it happened to me. Now, wearing old clothes is in vogue. As a fully grown adult, I wish fewer people knew about how awesome GW is because it doesn't matter when you go, it's always packed.
I would say the Loveland location is the easiest to navigate.
Target
Don't get me wrong, I love Target. But my heart always flutters a bit when parking my car because I know I'm about to see at least 12 people I know. This is why grocery delivery is the best. Seeing my kids' first-grade teacher while buying tampons just isn't cool.
Trader Joe's
Everyone seems incredibly put out while shopping at Trader Joe's. If you think you're going to be able to stop and read a label, you need to think again.
So if you struggle with any type of anxiety, it's best to just wait in the car at these locations.
