Join me Saturday for the annual poker run put on by my friends with American Military Family in honor of Staff SGT Kenneth Mayne. The event starts at 10:00 a.m.

In honor of Staff SGT Ken Mayne, American Military Family is once again proud to present the Memory Mayne poker run on Saturday, July 19th.

This run will again have two registration points:

  • North is at Greeley Harley-Davidson (3010 W. 29th Street)
  • South is at Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson (2885 W. County Line Rd. in Littleton.

Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and the cost is $25 per rider. The event ends at Jerry D's (604 8th St.) in Dacono.

Twenty-nine-year-old Staff Sgt. Kenneth Mayne was KIA on 4 September, 2008 in Baghdad after his vehicle came across a bomb. The explosion also killed 22-year-old Pfc. Bryan R. Thomas of Battle Creek, Michigan. Both were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
