A Love Letter to My Motorcycle Explaining Why We Aren’t Together This Winter
Dear Dorothy, Hi baby, it’s me Brian. Remember me? I am the one with the butt that fits perfectly on your beautiful leather seat. I just wanted you to know how much I am missing you. You are always there for me when I need some fun or adventure, to get somewhere or to just therapeutically clear my mind. You have never let me down and I know I can always count on you. You are guaranteed joy. I just wanted to explain why I haven’t been spending time with you lately, and no, I am not seeing another motorcycle.
You see Dorothy, it has been brutally cold lately and there just isn't enough heated gear in the world to make spending time with you in sub zero temperatures possible. I am keeping you inside for your own good. I know you want to get out and play but you need to just rest right now. I have you plugged in so you can still rev up when I come out to your room and we pretend we are on the way to Estes Park. It is over 20 below zero today, which is cold enough to freeze parts of a brass monkey's anatomy off. You need to just stay in your room and watch Easy Rider. It may be a little while until we are together again but I will hold you dearly in my heart and mind until we are rolling. I love you baby.
