A Five Year Old Hunter Hayes Hit the Big Stage With Hank Jr 19 Years Ago Today [VIDEO]
Hunter Hayes dreamed of being a country star since he started to walk. He used to draw pictures of tour buses on his notebooks while other kids his age were drawing Batman. The stage is the place Hunter was born to be on. He first proved that on this date back in 1997 when he was just 5 years old. He, along with his accordion, joined Hank Jr. on stage in front of thousands and thousands of country fans at the Texas Motor Speedway and jammed to "Jambalaya". A star was born.
Fast forward 14 years later and that same young man wandered into our basement here at the K99 studios in Windsor. This bubbly, then19 year old, set up shop downstairs and showed us how he created his debut song "Storm Warning". We were all blown away by Hunter and knew great things were ahead. He is still one of the kindest artists I have had the pleasure of spending time with. Expect new music from Hunter soon. Until then, here is a little Hunter...and a little bigger Hunter.
