What? That does make it seem worth it! The men's overall winner Rohan Dennis, and the women’s overall winner- Kristin Armstrong both got to drive off in new Lexus cars! Lexus is a major sponsor of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.
The Guys That Own the Challenge Also Own Quizno's!
Rick Schaden and his father Richard Schaden of Boulder, took over Quizno’s 1991 and also founded Smashburger! The two are having a hard time keeping the cycling event afloat though. After five years, the event has yet to turn a profit. They lost $10M in that first year, but only lost $2M this past year.
NBA Great, Bill Walton was There!
The wear and tear of playing great basketball over the years took its toll on Bill- and he uses bike riding as part of his post-surgeries therapy! He got out there and rode many of the routes before they started!
