4 Northern Colorado Schools To Play in State Volleyball Thursday
The state volleyball tournament kicks off Thursday morning at the Denver Coliseum.
Four Northern Colorado schools will be participating:
- No. 7 seed Fort Collins High School will face No. 10 Cherry Creek at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament. The winner advances to face No. 2 Cherokee Trail at 6:30 p.m. later on Thursday. The loser will play at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the elimination bracket.
- No. 8 seed University High School of Greeley will face No. 8 SkyView Academy at 8 a.m. Thursday in the Class 3A state tournament. The winner faces No. 1 Lutheran High School at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The loser will play at 11 a.m. on Friday in the elimination bracket.
- No. 10 seed Eaton High School faces No. 7 Lamar at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Class 3A state tournament. The winner faces No. 2 Sterling at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The loser will play at 9:30 a.m. on Friday in the elimination bracket.
- No. 4 seed Union Colony Prep of Greeley earned a first-round bye in the Class 2A state tournament. The Timberwolves will play at 3:30 p.m., facing the winner of the 9:30 a.m. match-up between No. 5 Wiggins and No. 12 Fountain Valley.
