Suspect Identified in Murder of 26-Year-Old Greeley Man

Police are searching for 34-year-old Refugio Ramos in connection with Saturday’s fatal shooting at a home in Greeley.

Authorities describe Ramos as a 5-foot, 11-inch tall Hispanic male weighing 180 pounds with either short or no hair. Ramos resides in Commerce City and Fort Collins. The warrant stems from Saturday’s fatal shooting of 26-year-old Greeley resident Paul Anthony Ortiz.

Greeley Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Greeley police at (970) 350-9600.

A 26-year-old Greeley man was shot several times at a home at 909 C Street in Greeley Saturday morning. Paul Anthony Ortiz died later at the hospital.

According to the Greeley Tribune, a man came to the home and knocked at the door. A confrontation ensued, during which shots were fired. A person of interest was contacted and released with no charges at this time.

Police say they have developed additional information on the possible identity of the suspect in the shooting.
