A few months back I had the great honor of becoming an honorary board member for Zac's Legacy Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) that provides assistance to families enduring the struggles of childhood cancer. Each year they put together a charity bowl-a-thon at Highland Park Lanes in Greeley, and they are still in need of teams for this years event which takes place this Saturday night (November 15th).

As with all child cancer stories, the story of Zackery Allen Carlson is a sad one. But instead of sulking in their own pain, Zac's parents John & Sara decided to do something that needed to be done to help others that run into situations similar to theirs. They also wanted to keep this memory of Love, Care and Sharing, and in this way Zac continues to touch hearts through the Gift of Giving to those in need and this has been the basis of Zac's Legacy Foundation.

The bowl-a-thon consists of 5 person teams with prizes awarded for all different types of feats on the lanes. The cost is only $25 per person, or a minimum of $125 for a 5 person team. Bowling goes from 6-9pm, with check-in being at 5:30.

For more info please contact Terri at (970) 353-3887 or Zac's Legacy directly at (970) 330-9000.

See ya Saturday!
