According to the Coloradoan, the King Soopers located at the North College Marketplace will soon be eliminating the furniture selection they currently offer customers and will be replacing it with the ability to buy clothing.

On Tuesday, Kroger (who is the parent company of King Sooper) applied for a building permit from the city of Fort Collins to renovate 8200 square feet of space which will include a full clothing section. The space will be outfitted with fitting rooms, a secure clothing storage area, along with new lighting for the retail space. According to the story, reports have been published that say there is a growing demand with customer feedback to add clothing to the retail mix at the store.

Other Kroger stores across the country currently sell clothing and if their selection is an indication of what we'll see in Fort Collins, the selection will be plentiful. Carhartt, Fifa, Champion, Dickies, and Skechers are just a few of the selections we could see in the new space.

The King Soopers in the North College Marketplace already has retail spaces for Fred Meyer Jewelers, Starbucks, and the Little Clinic.
