Just like I couldn't believe she was a country artist *mind blown*. To me, she'll forever be the singer from that pop-punky band, Hey Monday.

Hey, it's me, Shelby, guest blogging on K99. I'm from the alternative rock station, 94.3 The X, and any time someone around the station says 'Cassadee Pope,' I say, 'Hey Monday.' They never have any idea what I am talking about.

Back in 2009, when I still doodled on my Converse in class and had a curfew, I listened to the band Hey Monday (pictured above). You may recognize the singer, Cassadee Pope, behind those peek-a-booed side-swoop bangs. My high school semblance was to be a Cassadee carbon copy, and yes, I hung around the bowling alley, too.

Believe me, I was just as shocked when I heard she was on The Voice. I honestly know nothing about her career since crossing over genres, but for her country fans, here is a look back so you can see how she's transformed as an artist.

Here's a sample from my high school playlist. You're welcome.
