I had the most amazing time on Friday evening. I had the honor of attending my grandson Zander's graduation from the Boys and Girls club kindergarten program. I know for a fact that I cried at least three times. I am a mush-ball and seeing and hearing kids singing and performing a program just melts my heart and the tears start to leak out of me.

Seeing Zander all decked out in his dress shirt and tie made me feel as proud as he did. He was on top of the world knowing he had accomplished something and had so much fun doing it. I can't thank the crew at the Boys and Girls Club enough for being so awesome with my buddy. He learned so much and couldn't wait for every adventure they went on. He enjoyed this much more than the actual school, which he really liked too.

The program was just adorable. They sang songs and danced and introduced themselves to the whole crowd. The opening number is one that brought my first tears and it's message has stayed with me all weekend long. The song was called "4 Hugs a Day" and kids all sang about how everyone should get 4 hugs a day, each and every day. I am going to live by this. We all need more human touch and actually feel the warmth of an embrace each day. I vow to give and/or receive a minimum of 4 hugs a day and I recommend that every one of us do the same. This would be a lot better and kinder world if we each got our 4 hugs a day. Love, love, love this message.

Another portion of the program that got my eyes dripping was when each one of the kids had to step up to the microphone and state their name and what they wanted to be when they grew up. According to the class we will be have a great new crop of police officers. At least half of the class wanted to be cops. There were a couple of potential soldiers, a doctor or two, a clown, a butterfly and Zander, who wants to be a Jurassic World Park Maker. I wish him the best. Thank you kids and Boys and Girls Club for the wonderful memories created and congratulations Zander. Papa is very proud of you.

Here is that "4 Hugs a Day" song that inspired me to make sure I deliver on the daily hugging goal.
