YMCA Camp in Estes Park is a Breathtaking Spot for a Wedding [PICTURES]

The YMCA camp in Estes Park has been a destination for many for years. I know that my kids went there for camp when they were in school and folks love to plan their vacations with this spot in mind. I had never been there until weekend. Wow! What a beautiful place it is.

This past weekend my wife's best friends daughter Holly was married on top of the mountain at the YMCA camp in Estes. It is a long winding dirt road to the where the chapel setting is but well worth the drive. I don't know that there is a prettier setting to exchange vows. My grandsons were the ring bearers and I am very proud of them. My guys did a great job.

They had a blast running around the camp after the wedding and playing games and just being kids. They even tried their hands at a giant game of chess.

I once again ruined the weekend by getting very sick. I got dehydrated and got a case of altitude sickness very bad. I was a wreck and once again destroyed my wife's plans for the weekend. We left without spending the night because I was not right. As we were heading out of town we had to lock up the brakes right in front of the convenience store because a moose decided to wander right in front of my truck at the intersection. He apparently needed some supplies from the store too. I am sorry to my family for ruining the weekend but am happy to say I have seen one of the prettiest views you will ever see. Take your kids to the camp...they will love it and if you are looking for beautiful place for that special day, this is the place.
