What a difference a day makes. The high temperature in Greeley on Wednesday smashed the 35-year-old record for the date. Fort Collins hit a record of 79 yesterday and Denver tied an all-time record with 80 degrees. Today we should get snow.

According to the Greeley Tribune, Temperatures topped out at 83 degrees yesterday at a weather monitoring station on the UNC campus. The previous record for the date came in 1981, when the high was 76 on Nov. 16.   The average high temperature in November usually hovers around 51 degrees.

Forecasters expect the weather to change dramatically today. The high temperature is expected to fall into the low-40s. A mix of rain and snow is expected. If we manage some measurable rain or  snow today, it would be our first moisture along the Front Range in 38 days.

According to the National Weather service, the moisture will not have much affect on our drought. It may settle the dust a bit, but that's about it.
