A world record? We'll drink to that! Well, really, because that's a part of the record. Remember in college when you'd go to some 'snow bro's' house party, and he'd have old skis with shot glasses on them? I went to CSU, so... anyway that is a shot ski. Get it? Yeah.

Every year, people line Main Street in Breckenridge attempting to break the world record for the longest shot ski -- and successfully so. According to Powder, the original record was set by 666 people and 219 skis, but in 2016, nearly 888 Coloradans put that record to shame at Ullr Fest in Breck.

This year, Breckenridge is in danger of losing its record-holder status to Park City, Utah -- UTAH. They don't even really drink there. So, here's how you can help keep the World's Longest Shot Ski record in 2017:

Anyone over the age of 21 can participate on Thursday, January 12 at 4 p.m. The shot ski will span 1,250 feet, so Breckenridge Distillery is accepting ski donations for the cause. More information can be found on the Facebook event page.
