It's not an epidemic yet, but it's not good.  According to Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment,  the County’s current whooping cough levels are the worst in 20 years. Since December 2012, fifteen schools across Weld County have reported cases of whooping cough or pertussis.

HOW TO STOP THE SPREAD OF WHOOPING COUGH

  1. Get vaccinated.
  2. Get tested by a health care provider if you have a cough that lasts longer than two weeks in order to receive the appropriate treatment.
  3.  Stay home so you don't make others sick!
  4. Always cover your cough.
