Woman Bites Off Husband’s Ear Over a Beer

A woman was arrested after biting her husband's ear off during an argument over a beer.

Jamie Elrod, 37, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, faces a first-degree assault charge after drunkenly - and unknowingly - biting off part of her husband's right ear.

Officers noted in a criminal complaint that part of the victim's right ear had been bitten off. During a search of the couple's apartment, officers found blood and part of the victim's ear on the floor.

The victim told officers he and Elrod got into an argument over a beer, when Elrod reportedly "went off at him."

She is currently being held on $30,000 bond.
