Woman Becomes First Human To Swim From Cuba To The United States Without A Shark Cage [VIDEO]

Diana Nyad is probably the strongest, toughest most determined person on the planet....and at the age of 64, she has done what no other human being has ever done.

While it's true that a few have actually swam from Cuba to Florida, no one has ever done it without the aid of a shark cage.

The 64-year-old Diana Nyad started her 110 mile journey Saturday, from Havana Cuba, and after 53 hours of continuous swimming swam back to a Florida beach about 12:00 PM (MDT) today.  This was her 5th attempt since 1978 and also said it was her last.  Watch the video/s (the first when she walked out and talked, the second is her swimming to shore) and her appearance truly shows you the tenacity of Diana Nyad.
