A 46-year-old Windsor man died January 19th, from a condition caused by the H1N1 flu virus and pneumonia. Eduardo Nino was admitted to Medical Center of the Rockies before Christmas with the flu. There have been two Type A H1N1-related deaths at MCR since October.

Nino was born in Windsor. His daughter, Tristyn Nino, lives in Loveland with her husband and two children.

Individuals who have not received flu shots are encouraged to get them. People with health insurance should be able to get free flu shots under the Affordable Health Care Act. Visit cdc.gov/flu for more details about the flu. Find a nearby immunization clinic at larimer.org/health.
