Wind Gusts Knock Out Power Along Front Range
Thousands of Xcel Energy customers were still without power in the Denver metro area and in northern Colorado last night after a powerful wind storm. The blackouts affected about 50,000 customers in Denver, Fort Collins and Greeley starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday. The company said it expected to have most everyone online by late last night. Yesterday Fort Collins reported wind gusts of 40 miles per hour. Now, the broken limbs need to be taken care of.
