Will Northern Colorado Temperatures Cool Off Anytime Soon?

It's been a really hot week, and while many of us are thanking Mother Nature for sending us warm weather to enjoy outdoors and at the pool, the rest of us are wishing for cold and snow already (or maybe just an air conditioned building in the meantime).

Wednesday, July 6, is supposed to be the hottest day this week. Denver7 meteorologists Mike Nelson and Katie LaSalle say temps will hover in the 90s to low 100s with a low chance for rain statewide

They also point out that late day thunderstorms and a weak cold front are expected tomorrow, but I'm guessing those high temperatures will overpower any ounce of coolness that comes through Colorado.

If you're an iPhone user like me, you'll see Northern Colorado will be in the 90s until Monday, July 11, when it dips down to 84 in Fort Collins, 86 in Loveland, and 88 in Greeley. Of course, this could always change. But those temperatures rise back up into the 90s after Monday.

If you're looking for a much cooler spot both temperature and activity-wise, look no further than Estes Park. Wednesday's high is 79 in town, and will remain at about that temperature until Monday, when it drops to a high of 73 degrees in Estes Park.

So the answer is no, it will not get cooler in Northern Colorado anytime soon.
