Why Does Todd Harding Cook With A Paper Towel Under His Bare Foot?

O.K. here's the deal!  I don't wear shoes at home. I do most of the cooking in our house. Therefore, I cook barefoot.  I am also a very messy person. I am also a neat freak, so those two sides of me are constantly at war.   I'm a messy neat freak.

I always spill on my self when I eat. I always drip stuff on the floor when I cook.  I splash water on my shirt and the floor when I wash dishes.  There is always something on the kitchen floor that I am responsible for.  So, I always have a paper towel under foot when I am in the kitchen.  It's to clean up splashes and messes on the floor as they happen.  It may be a silly system, but it works for me and the kitchen floor stays relatively clean.
