Why Are There Cows on the CSU Campus? [PICTURES]


It’s a fair question! Why are cows on the Colorado State University campus? I was at CSU a couple weeks ago and saw a pen with 4 Angus bulls in it. Were they Moo-gna Cum Laude? Were they members of the Omego Moo Fraternity? I did a little investigating.
It turns out I was walking past the CSU Livestock Judging Pavilion. It’s right in the middle of campus, next to the Micro-Biology Building and right across the street from the CSU greenhouses.
Colorado State University’s Livestock Judging program dates back to 1914 when the first team competed at the National Western Stock Show.
Mystery solved!
