Who Would Steal Braille Signs from a Colorado Park?
This person is of interest to Denver’s Mountain Parks Office and Jefferson County Authorities. He was captured on video as part of an investigation into 37 stolen Braille hiking signs in Genesee Park last month.
The signs that guide visually impaired people through Genesee Park were uprooted from their posts around May 6th. 50 feet of guide rope was also cut.
Authorities said a few weeks later a man came by and stole their replacement signs.
Rangers had put up game cameras to get clues to who may have stolen the Braille signs. They are interested in speaking a person of interest seen in surveillance footage.
