If you are wondering where the best places around town are to get your fix of Christmas lights and displays, then you have come to the right place!

One of my favorite traditions when I was a kid, was driving around town, drinking hot cocoa while checking out all of the Christmas lights. It is still fun even today and there are some people in Northern Colorado who always go all out when it comes to decorating the outside of their homes and businesses. So, gather the family and head out to these locations that are guaranteed to brighten your holiday season!

The light display takes you around in a circle where you can view several Christmas scenes, such as Santa's Workshop. The display is also filled with many colorful lights and a synchronized Christmas radio station.

Old Town Fort Collins

It is a very warm feeling driving into Old Town Fort Collins during the winter season. The trees are all lit up beautifully, as well as other businesses featuring seasonal displays.

The Gardens on Spring Creek: 2145 Center Avenue, Fort Collins

The Garden of Lights is back with the annual botanical holiday light display until January 4, 2015. Visitors may stop by any night from 5-9 p.m. A $2 per person donation is not mandatory, but suggested to viewers.

The Habel Home: 3000 Ringneck Drive, Fort Collins

This special light display also serves as a memorial to former CSU engineering student, Michael Habel, who sadly passed away this summer. He used to set up the light display at his parent's house, and after his passing, many of his friends got together to recreate the light show in his honor. Those that drive by can set the radio to 100.3 FM and enjoy Christmas music along with their lights.

First Presbyterian Church: 531 South College Avenue, Fort Collins

The First Presbyterian Church on College features a 50-foot tall Christmas tree completely decked out with bright LED lights. This display also features synchronized music shows at the top of every hour from 5 to 10 p.m. through December.

Lights for Habitat: 321 Albion Way, Fort Collins

This light display is also synced to Christmas music if you tune your radio to 92.1 FM. The lights turn on at 5 p.m. and they run until around 9 p.m. Sunday
through Thursday, and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and during the week of Christmas. On Christmas Eve they will be on until Midnight. Also on Christmas Eve, they will be serving free hot cocoa and Santa will be handing out stuffed animals to all of the good boys and girls. This exhibit will run through New Years Day, and donations to the Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity are suggested.
